The Negative Project-Set 2

The Negative Project-Set 2

When my father died of ocular melanoma in 2011, I took it upon myself to start scanning his 25 years worth of negatives into the computer. He never threw anything away, including the pieces of film that were ruined, blank, or the result of a camera malfunction. As I scanned I started to notice that these "scrap negatives" looked completely different after the scanner light passed over them. The result of film photography meeting it's digital sibling are these abstract images that are colorful, imperfect, and never the same design twice. Here are some of those negatives.
